Our firm has significant experience with both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Banks and others generally prefer to have financial statements prepared by accounting firms rather than to rely on internally generated statements. There are three basic levels at which our firm’s involvement may be:
- Compilation of statements with or without footnotes. This is the lowest level and the least expensive.
- Review of financial statements that include footnotes. Some assurance is provided by the accountant, and the statements are complete.
- Audit of financial statements. For privately held companies, we do not recommend this level, as it is quite expensive and usually unnecessary.
